The attack on the Ever Lovely took place on Thursday as the vessel was passing through the Strait of Hormuz, near the coast of Oman. The ship was hit by a projectile, but the crew was not injured and the vessel continued on its route.
Donald Trump accused Iran and claimed that it “launched at least four kamikaze drones at ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.” According to him, three drones were shot down and one hit the ship.
“One of the drones hit the upper deck of a large and very valuable cargo ship ,” Trump wrote on social media on Friday, referring to the Ever Lovely.
